INCO Vale Bowling Club
Welcome to the website of INCO Vale Bowling Club.
The club's home for the 2016 outdoor season will be Coedgwylim Park, Clydach.
We will however be again playing our competitive matches in the West Glamorgan Private Greens Bowls League against sides across the county and also in the Cwmtawe Triples League against our neighbours in the Swansea Valley.
The club's regular practise evening is on a Monday during the summer months (mid April to the end of August) generally between 5.00 to 7.30 pm. The club extends a warm welcome to new members, whether experienced bowlers or players new to the game.
The club is grateful for the continued support of our sponsors: Glamorgan Services,
Glais House Nursing Home (click for link) and Treble Clef Studios, Neath.
How to find us
The club is approximately 2.5 miles from Junction 45 of the M4, and about 600 metres from the Mond Works offices, Clydach on Pontardawe Road (B4603) heading towards Pontardawe.

Again we had a superb tour to Weston-Super-Mare over the weekend of Friday 1st to Monday 4th July. Although we didn't win all our matches, we enjoyed playing at some fabulous greens against very welcoming clubs.
Photos of the tour can be found here.
We held our Annual Presentation Evening on Sunday 14th February at the Old Glais Inn when the various awards from the 2015 season were made. A sumptuous buffet rounded off a great evening.
Pictures of the award winners can be seen here.
We held our 1st Club Christmas Dinner on Wednesday 16th December at the Old Glais Inn and a very successful event it was. We have to thank Richard and Mike Thomas for organising the dinner and to Steve Vincent for providing the numerous raffle prizes.
Thanks to everyone and we look forward to repeating this event next Christmas.
Some pictures of the event can be seen here.
Out-of-season social meetings.
A reminder to all members. Don't forget we have our monthly get-together on the first Monday of each month during the 'closed' season at the Old Glais Inn at 7.00 pm. The dates are as follows:
Monday 4th January
Monday 1st February
Monday 7th March
Monday 4th April
Please make every effort to attend these social get-togethers for a chat and a drink and to keep up with club matters.
Breaking News: We are pleased to announce that INCO Vale Bowls Team are Champions of the Saturday League of the Private Greens Bowls League
On Sunday 23rd August we held our inaugural Mixed Pairs Competition which was held in memory of 'Mitch' (Gerald Mitchell) who played for the men's team for many years. Mitch passed away a couple of years ago but his wife wanted to donate a trophy in his memory and to recall his fondness of the club and the enjoyment he received from playing bowls. We are very grateful for this gesture and hopefully this special tournament will be held on an annual basis.
As the weather was not going to be kind to us, it was decided to move the game indoors to ensure we played the game uninterrupted, so we took over the Pontardawe Indoor Rink for the afternoon and a great time eas had by all. We were honoured by the presence of Mitch's niece who stayed for the whole event and also accompanied us back to Glais Rugby Club where a splendid buffet was put on curtesy of Steve Vincent.
Overall winners were Gaynor Tomas and David Rees who beat Clive Osborne and Debora Rees in the finals. Well done to the finalists and everyone else who competed in this excellent tournament.
Photos taken during the game and at the buffet can be seen here. (and under the 'Photo's Tab at the top of the Home Page)
