Club News
We held our Annual Presentation Evening on Sunday 16th February at the Old Glais Inn when the various awards from the 2019 season were made. It was with great pleasure that our long term Captain's widow Rosemary Thomas came along to present the awards accompanied by her family. A sumptuous buffet rounded off a great evening.
Pictures of the award winners can be seen here.

WBA Information on Shorts
The following advice has been received regarding the wearing of shorts.
Welsh Bowls is in transition with regards to international playing attire. We have made good progress in securing a new kit from a top brand manufacturer and an online shopping facility for other items. It was hoped that we would be able to include the production of Welsh Bowls approved shorts included in this arrangement. Unfortunately we will not be able to deliver this in time for the current season. The WBA has decided against mandating that the only shorts permissible are those officially licensed by the WBA.
In light of this the WBA approve the wearing of shorts at club and county and international level with immediate effect. The WBA stipulate the following common sense conditions in order that a smart appearance is maintained:
1. The shorts must be tailored in appearance. Under no circumstances sports, combat shorts (with leg pockets) or denim shorts
2. The shorts must be TOTALLY WHITE and tailored in design a plain single colour just below the knee
3. In team games the design of the shorts must be identical in colour and design
If the occasion arises when a Carruthers game for example has to played mid-week then GREY SHORTS are allowed but must meet the same criteria as WHITE SHORTS
Not all players will want to wear shorts, so it is not a requirement that all players within a team wear them. The stipulation is that whether the player wears shorts or long trousers that the colour matches.
